Empire Builder is an immersive game that challenges players to construct a vast empire spanning multiple planets. The objective is to acquire three essential resources: metal, crystal, and deuterium. These resources are initially obtained by mining the player's home planet, and are subsequently used to develop infrastructure, conduct research, and construct spacecraft.
The game provides a diverse range of play styles to cater to individual preferences. Miners focus on generating their own resources by establishing mines on their planets and colonies. Farmers, on the other hand, embark on resource scavenging missions by raiding unprotected planets of other players. Additionally, there are Fleeters who specialize in engaging in epic space battles, obliterating other players' fleets, and salvaging valuable debris. Most players adopt a hybrid approach, combining various elements to suit their personal playstyle.
For new players, a Noob Protection mechanism offers a degree of safeguarding against more experienced and powerful opponents. During this period, interactions are limited exclusively to fellow inexperienced players at a similar rank. As one progresses and accumulates points, they become fair game for stronger adversaries while simultaneously gaining the ability to engage in offensive maneuvers themselves.
The game fosters a strong sense of community among players, which enriches the overall experience. Seasoned players readily offer guidance and often provide initial resources to help newcomers get started. Communication with other players can be accomplished both in-game and through our dedicated chat server hosted on the popular Discord chat app (available for download from your app store/play store).
